PLAYING OUR ROLE THE RIGHT WAY

Hello and Welcome Back Readers!!! This is Tejas Joshi and I'm back with another post. Starting off with this post, we, as social beings, continually seek harmonious relationships with those around us- be it our family, relatives, friends, corporate colleagues, social media friends, loved ones and neighbors. The challenge lies in handling these relationships, maintaining the rapport, inability to control anger, jealousy, ego and struggling to stay calm despite trying situations.

Most problems arise when people have a differing viewpoint or varied opinion. When the other party doesn't come around or give in, anger starts surfacing. If we are unable to stay calm at this point, we end up saying something hurtful to each other, hurting the sentiments, least caring what the person is to us. This escalates and leads to retaliation. Soon what began to be a minor disagreement shapes up into a long-term feud. Eventually, the relationship suffers and we might end up losing the person. The other ending of this story is the one in which we stay calm, maintain harmony within the relationship, and it all begins with the meditation techniques which fosters calmness, helps to maintain a third-person perspective while facing a situation and instilling peace and harmony. It can help short-circuiting anger and retaliation cycle and instead, would imbibe a positive reinforcement cycle.

The woman, for example, has to strike a balance between various roles and duties she does at home and work. Sometimes, she is the sole bread-winner. Society expects her to be mature enough, patient, soft-spoken, gentle, warm, a portrait of grace and charm. On the other hand, situations and circumstances demand her to be tough, independent, a solution provider and a proficient leader. Due to the constant productivity demands, they appear deceptively weak, fragile and vulnerable. Yet waiting to be tapped is the enormous vitality that they possess.

We say that peoples are not bad, situations are worse. A situation becomes difficult only when we are not sure how to handle it effectively. We often forget that no situation or no state is permanent. If one is ill, so long as it is not a terminal illness, one can turn it into a condition of health with some positive conversation with the affected. If today sorrow is being experienced, tomorrow we may face happiness and joy. One who possesses this ability will never be shattered by any experience as he knows that things will keep changing. Change is the law of nature. So, if one day a man may face misfortune and the other day the fortune may smile on him.

As we meditate on the inner Light and Sound, it is a process whereby we take our attention from the outer world and focus it within, we experience states of calm, peace and joy. We also begin to see each and every individual as a part of God, with divine light shining in all. This feeling of tranquility remains with us long after meditation and radiate from us to all in the orbit. Embracing our oneness with the creator and all of its creations, we undergo a profound transformation, beginning to love all. This builds a bridge between us and the people as we witness commonality. We become compassionate and understanding and we seek to help those who in need. We are inspired to utilize our talent for the common good, and in whatever field or circle we are working, we become a source of resort for help and comfort for those around us.

When we remain on even keel, we are able to find solutions and are open to adjusting and compromising, leading to a peaceful resolution. As we become calmer and more loving, we will notice that it has a positive impact on our relationships and our positive attributes will have a ripple effect on others. Awaken the dormant energies and salvage the situation instead of wallowing your weaknesses. Like coal can be transformed into a diamond, we have infinite possibilities within ourselves. And if everyone around us can change, why can't we change for good.

That's all for now. I'll ensure that future posts are more in-depth and varied. From each post, I try to give something new, something informative and this is my little effort to spread my thoughts to you. If you like the post, kindly comment on your views and share it as a lamp lights another lamp and that is how the world is enlightened. In case, we are meeting for the first time, Hii this was Tejas Joshi.
